Privacy Notice

How the AI Governance Standards Board collects and uses personal information. Draft pending legal review.

This notice is a working draft and will be finalized with legal counsel before the Board's entity is established.

What we collect

  • Membership: name, email, job title, organization, LinkedIn URL (optional), requested tier, and your reason for joining.
  • Member content: profile bio, ideas, comments, votes and comment letters you submit.
  • Contact form: what you send us.
  • Technical: sign-in records kept by our authentication provider. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Why we use it

To review applications, run member features, consider comment letters in due process, contact you about the Board's work, and keep the service secure.

Who can see it

  • Your profile, ideas and comments are visible only to approved members. Directory listing is opt-in.
  • Comment letters are published only if you tick the box allowing it.
  • The Secretariat can see application details to review them.
  • We use service providers to host the site (Netlify) and the member database and sign-in (Supabase). We never sell personal data.

Retention

We keep membership data while you are a member and for up to 12 months after, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Published comment letters remain part of the public record.

Your rights

You can update your profile at any time and ask us to access, correct or delete your data through the contact page. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or state privacy laws.
